Introduction
The Library IT department strives to fulfill the mission and strategic objectives of the BYU Library through the implementation and support of technology. This is done with a focus on:
- Impact on people
- Impact on collections
- Impact on compliance and standards
- Impact on Library processes and services
Library IT is organized into the following broad categories:
- Design and User Experience
- Engineering
- Library Information Systems
- Operations
- Product Management
The Design and Engineering groups have been organized into three teams. Each team has assigned to them a portfolio of applications which they support and update. As new applications are created the managers of the units will determine which team will be assigned stewardship of the new application.
